Part two of my new home tour!

Alright guys, are you ready to continue our tour?!

If you missed part one be sure to check out the photos of the first floor by clicking {here}!!!

Soooooo here are some more photos from my new house!

These are photos with the sellers belongings—I have a lot of stuff… buttt not quite thattt much!

And it should be noted that the photo quality is NOT so good…. but this is what you get for me trying to be cool while the boys were doing the home inspection!

Okay, here we are back in the kitchen area…. just picture, someday this entire room will be my dream kitchen!

But for now… it is just fine in its sweet and simple way!

And back to the living room where you will head up the stairs—to the second floor.

Ahhhh and you will find our SOMEDAY master bedroom and bathroom suite!

Lots of space and potential here, and there is that lake view that I adore!

And this is the second floor bathroom.

Yes my friends… you can offically be jealous….

I have my own hand dryer in my upstairs bathroom!

:)

Seriously, all I can see is potential!

And here is bedroom number one up-stairs and the bedroom that will be our temporary bedroom until the master is ready!

That wall paper will be coming down as soon as they hand me those keys!  I just know some paint and a little hard work and this room will be great!

Here is the second up-stairs bedroom… I can just picture this being a perfect room for kiddos someday!

{and noooo I am not talking about my furry children…. come on, they could never have their own room…. they need to be close to me at all times!}

annddd you may be asking your self once again with this final half of my tour…. WHY would you EVER want to dive into a home like this one….

buttttt you have to remember what is right outside of my house….

the lake….

my lake….

my heaven….

and in just 15 short days I will OWN 92 feet of frontage!!!

ahhhhhh

**sigh**

So stinkin excited for you! That upstairs bath makeover is going to be fab. Can’t wait to see you put your touch on every room!

    …and the lake… ATTA GIRL!

  2. I love it!! I especially love the hand dryer ;) Seriously though, I can definitely see the potential… especially with all the furniture out and wall paper gone… there will be so much space! Can’t wait to see it all unfold!

  3. LOL! Love the hand dryer! That must stay…;) (jk)…
Oh, Jaime! I’m so so excited for you and C! Can’t wait to see your progress…and I’m so so excited that you have your dream home on the lake…you guys will be AMAZING in that little diamond in the rough. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! You are so awesome.

  4. I see it. You are not crazy at all. I see all the possibilities. I see all the wonderfulness that awaits. I see all the fun you will have making it your dream home. I also see the work it will take but that is what makes it so much more worthwhile. You will get to sit in that lovely lake house and soak it all in – knowing it is YOUR house from top to bottom all touched by you. I envy you and can not wait to see how wonderful it will look. When you feel down and so far lost in repairs and reno- just walk out back and breathe and it will all be ok.

  6. I TOTALLY see the potential in your new house! It has great bones, it just needs some updating and TLC :-) I think it’s just calling out to be made over into a proper coastal cottage :-) You’re soooooo lucky to be living right on a lake!

    Congrats!

  7. I am so enjoying your tours!

  8. I love it, Jaime. It is filled with so much potential. Of course, it will be difficult to improve on the hand dryer but I’m sure you will find a way. LOL. I’ve never seen one in a home.
The porch is amazing. Can’t wait to see what you do with each space.
    Congratulations again.

  9. It’s gonna be great! that hand dryer was killin me!

  10. Oh my gosh Jaime it looks AMAZING! I’m so excited for you! That sunroom is dreamy. The worst part is all the wallpaper, but a little muscle & you’ll get that down. It looks so big & amazing! I kinda love the ceilings downstairs from what I can see of them. And the existing kitchen is actually really really nice for your use while you save for it’s re-do. What a great find!

  11. How awesome to have that much lake frontage, and of course the electric hand dryer. :)

  12. Oh…this looks like so much fun! And I know what you mean by water…I was born on a Great Lake, and I am constantly looking for a house on a lake. Some day…
We’ll all enjoy being along for the ride!

  13. I get it. I’m 100% behind you and cheering you on every second of the way. There is SO much potential, that master is just screaming to be be made awesome:) And I know you, my favorite crafter (soon to be diy-er) can do it!

  15. I cannot wait to see what you do with it! My family and I are moving this summer from Florida to Indiana and we have no idea if we are renting or buying yet. I cannot wait to be in your shoes and so excited about the possibilities of what can be. I definitely see the potential in your new place!

  16. You lucky girl — when will you be hosting a small bloggy get together? You know, on YOUR lake!?!?! That is a must :)

  17. Oh, I am loving the house tour. I seriously drooled over the thought of a claw foot tub. Too awesome. You are going to have a blast making this house your home. Congrats.

  18. How exciting! Getting to make it everything you dream of AND next to the lake! Lucky, lucky girl! I’m looking forward to watching it all come true! Please keep us updated with lots of pics! Have a great, but exhuasted, time!

  19. I see the potential too. That master suite will be huge, the furry kids can invite friends over. And does the hand dryer actually work? I want you to keep it and come up with some DIY deco repurpose for it. That is you new home challenge.

  20. Again, so excited for you! Looks like you bought a furniture store! Ha! But I see all that amazing potential as well …

… looks like crafts and your cute stamps may be neglected for a bit. You have much MUCH bigger projects on your hands!

    :)

  21. Jaime,

That screened-in porch is right up my alley! I would have bought the house, just for that! I know you will make it wonderful and beautiful! Thanks for letting us follow along!

There is something about the “cloakroom” that I truly love – whether it is the colour scheme or the mix of tastes I just don’t know. Good luck on your moving-in day. (From the UK.)

  23. You got a good house! I’m from WI and I understand the water thing…I”m a horse girl, so I go for the land, my friends can’t understand why I live in a 1920s 750 ft “shack” but I like my wide open spaces and my cute old kitchen. I can’t stand granite or neighbors looking over their fence at me. You have to buy the “space” first and then deal with the house challenges, but it will be more individual than just buying a new monster builder generic house. And those it is harder to convince people why you want to “re-do” a perfectly new (and ugly and beige) room. Good luck, can’t wait to see what you do to this place.

  24. Sue Johnson says:

so stinkin’ happy for you, wish I’d thought about buying on the water 27 years ago, I probably could have afforded it back then. I can’t wait to see it when you are finished, I’m sure it will have your mark all over it and I’m sure it will be “heaven” inside and out.

  25. Marie Couch says:

what a most beautiful home and its position. I wish you every happiness and good luck for your future in this most specxtacular home (and its views!)

  26. Jaime!! OMG! I’m so behind the times! I’m so happy you and Cal got such a great lake house! I have no doubt in my mind it will be beautiful in no time! With your talent it will be an oasis!! I miss you!! Hope all is well!

  27. I would give almost anything to live on the WATER!!!!
