So, like many of you know who hang around this blog every once in a while… my house it in a state of chaos. My husband and I are completely floor to ceiling renovating the first floor our first home that be purchased about a month ago! We must be CRAZY! And needless to say we have not had much of a chance to enjoy life, our new lake or each other lately! We have been working nonstop to get the project DONE…. But. I had to stop and realize… that summer is happening NOW even if I don’t feel like it should be… and therefore my husband and I have to start enjoying it, even if our house is in complete and total chaos! And SO I decided it was time to stop putting off our outdoor space and have a date night…. just my husband and I, sitting, relaxing and enjoying the NOW.
I have been thinking about patio furniture for a long time now. I have alway pictured the perfect backyard lakeside oasis, even before I knew where we would live exactly. And so I, being the great online shopper and for the most part drool-er I am…. have spent many many hours searching for my dream set.
and I have to tell you, honestly I found it at Sears. And another honest opinion, they have GREAT online resources that most likely swayed my online shopping to them!
I used the , the Sears Style Hub
{which is PERFECT at helping you get just the right look} and the Sears local ad online as well.

and I have to share this photo just because it is cute… I left my catalogue out one night prior to actually choosing which set to buy and woke up the next morning to find that my husband and go ahead and drawn in our stick figures next to his choices…. I am going to take that as a hint that he also wanted a break from the work!
And even though I do like shopping online, I did have fun shopping in real life too!!!

Oh, annnnddd I may have found the PERFECT accessory while shopping too!!!
I mean how darn perfect is that?!
I LOVE my new chandelier!!!
I truly think it completes my backyard oasis look! AND it creates the perfect backyard date night set up!
And we SO needed a date night.
it is amazing how rejuvenated and relaxed you can feel after an evening spent overlooking the lake eating Chinese takeout!
and how do you like my new vintage “ice box”?! I think it is the PERFECT cooler for out by the lake!!!
Perfection.
I don’t think I could have imagined a better date night, a better husband, better food OR a better patio set!!!
Thanks Sears!!!

Wow – it looks so gorgeous!! You could not have asked for better scenery!
And I just LOVE your chandelier!!! Glad you are taking a break:)
How beautiful! Looks so romantic and perfect for a date night, thank you for sharing.
I love the furniture set, the color matches well with the scenary. (what a beautiful sunset)
I’m happy that you both put the ongoing projects behind you, so that you could spend relaxing time together.
Take Care

Jaime, I love it all! Seriously, what a perfect little spot for many more date nights to come! Great tips on furniture shopping as well… and love the flip flops. (I’m struggling with this whole “closed toed shoes in the hospital” thing… yes, I’m a fan of safety first, but it’s summer in 2 days and if I could wear flip flops every day of my life, I would… so I bring a change of shoes.) ANYWAYYY, your little home is coming along and I’m so glad you two got a chance to relax!!
Oh my gosh your view out back is beautiful! You’re so lucky to have found such a great place!
Looks beautiful love the view, great deal you got!
yes, i could totally relax there! it looks amazing!
are you kidding me right now, Jaime?
THAT IS AMAZING!!!!! I love love love the chandelier! How inventive, creative & perfect! The boats on the lake must be so jealous to see you guys out there enjoying such a perfect spot…you did an amazing job, sweet girl! And I can’t wait to see it (and enjoy it!) for myself…;) hee hee hee!
LOVE that C drew little stick figures on the photos…so cute!
That looks like the perfect summer oasis!!! I hope y’all get many chances to slip away from your projects to enjoy each other and the new landscape
So beautiful. And what a view!
Such a gorgeous place! I don’t know if I would ever leave it! Great job friend, I am excited to see more of your house reveal as well!
Well, I totally agree with you about the not-being-able to choose a better date night, better food, better patio furniture, and a better lake view. However, I must say I’m a little partial towards my own husband
But seriously, the space that you have created is really worth more than three living rooms. It’s the perfect idyll. And that chandelier is gorgeous – I didn’t even know that they make them for outdoors, too!
Gorgeous and relaxing space!
Ummm, I am SO jealous of your backyard…you are so lucky!! Stopping by from the Networking Blog Hop…I would love if you would come say hello

I love the furniture! I’m a flip flop kind of girl too, especially cute flip flops that are *almost* as cute as heels:) So happy you two could kick back and relax a bit before summer is over and you are in a beautiful house but it’s already fall. Now we just need some pics of people in the lake and you’ll be all set!
Oh, and you’ve got to tell me how you wired the outdoor chandy!

First, love, love, love! I’m so happy for you and thrilled you are finally seeing all your dreams come true! Second, my biggest pet-peeve I have with my son is following me because you did the same thing he does and I am now having a break-down!!! My son ALWAYS misspells the word “AWESOME”. He ALWAYS forgets that “E” in the middle and it drives me crazy. I tell him he can’t use the word anymore until he remembers that second “E”. Now, I see you have the same affliction as my son. What am I going to do with you two?!?!?!?
Take care!
When you want to get away from the peace and tranquility you can have date night here and sit my place. I promise you won’t be lonely while I’m having date night at yours!

Wow, this is fantastic, Jaime! YOu and the hubs totally deserve to put your feet up for a bit — enjoy!
Get out of town Jaime that’s your backyard?!! I am running straight to my boss now and telling her they better put me back in the WI territory for travel!! That is gorgeous. Your new patio furniture looks very similiar to mind except your pillows are much cuter. Love it all plus that chandelier rocks!
Oh my…this is gorgeous. So beautiful…it looks so romantic. You live in an amazing place. It’s the perfect place for dreaming and relaxing. LOVE this post…everything about this post just screams AMAZING.

Love it! You definitely could use a backyard oasis in your current state of chaos. Not that you need anything to make your backyard an oasis with that view!
WOW! That is a beautiful set and the lighting is awesome, but that view is AMAZING! You need to take more time to enjoy it together. The other stuff will wait!
This is beautiful! I love the furniture that you chose. Love the modern look, love the gray color. Can I come over and enjoy your lake view?!
