Lighting. Yes, Lets talk lighting. I have been thinking about and studying lighting for the past months trying to choose the most perfect fixtures, pendants and master pieces for my new space. And now that they are up and I am loving them.
Since so much thought and effort went into the choosing process,
I thought it was appropriate that the lighting have their very own spotlight (no pun intended… hehe) and blog post. Because the beauties that I choose….
well,
I ADORE each and every single one of them.
Here were my goals going into the shopping phase of my looking for lighting:
Light and reflective.
{To enhance the lake view not block it}
Shiny and chic.
A little different from any old light fixture.
Something that could compliment a beach-y chic sometimes shabby type decor.
SO tell me how did I do?!?
Lets start with my very favorite….
This is my most favorite fixture in my newly renovated great room.
I adore it.
it is grey and shiny and just a little different from the typical white crystal chandler.
it reflects the light that comes in the windows off of the lake,
it draws your attention but doesn’t distract from the view….
exactly what I was wishing for.
next lets talk about my kitchen lighting {for now}
it is a way to “chic” up the otherwise shabby cottage feeling kitchen space.
I like the mix of chrome and crystal while being toned down by the fabric sheer shade.
then there are the very functional but chic-for-a-fan fixtures that I had to pick….
these guys ended up being the perfect complement to my other fixtures…
yes, my space now had 3 of these beauties and I really don’t mind them at all!
AND for around one hundred dollars at Home Depot, I don’t think you can go wrong!
lets see, then there is the office space lighting.
This light fixture is pretty in person and its crystals reflect light perfectly even when the light is off… but WOW you should see this one when it is on…. it is AMAZING….
this light might not be my favorite when it is off, but when it is on….

And then there was my one and only industrial choice.
and although it is a bit industrial, it is also perfectly chrome and white and I think it still goes well in my space…

And another shiny favorite…
this was my gamble.
when it came to the lighting I choose… I really had no doubts
except for this one…
I LOVE this one now that it is up and in my space…
but when I was shopping online… I couldn’t decide.
but I sure love it now that it is up.
it perfectly reflects the natural light off of the lake during the day and sparkles when lit at night.
all in all it had been SO fun choosing and picking and then actually seeing my lighting up in the newly renovated spaces!!!

Wow, these are truly beautiful! I would be happy with just two of them – but to have all of them up in your house – congrats! The top one is my favorite, too. I’m looking for a similar one to put in my living room, too. I have a similar one to your kitchen chandelier in my dining room, just with threads instead of the fabric, and a little more crystal. I would say your research has paid off bc all of your lightiing is just stunning! I have been looking for a gorgeous fixture for our kitchen hall but there’s a darn door in the hall way (that opens out) that keeps causing a prob! Arghh…feel like I am stuck with the darn boob light forever! LOL

Wow, what gorgeous lighting. Love them all. Even the ceiling fan – I need to get a ceiling fan for our future nursery and seeing yours gives me hope I can find something cute and reasonably priced.
Everyone has already said it, these lights are gorgeous. My particular favourite is the office light. Are they all unique finds or are any from the high street?
