Hello friends!
I am SO excited to show you little parts and pieces of my house now that it is coming together!
I already showed you my office space this week and my brick wall up-cycle (which happens to be opposite this space)…
and for today,
Here is my eat-in table space right off of the kitchen!
I wanted a beach-y cottage chic type theme.
and I think the framed vintage images of the sail boats add to that feel!
and in true crafty scrappy happy fashion….
I found the images in one of my most favorite places…
a vintage dictionary.
So, this look only required me to buy frames (which I found from Target).
And like I always say, you can’t truly appreciate what the space looks like unless you have seen where we came from so here is the before!
You see that back wall with all of the wood?
And the wood ceiling?!
And how about that horrible carpet?!
Oh and the ceiling fan!!! ALL GONE!
But there was a little bump in the road before we got to that point.
Because, for quite awhile we had thought the wood was going to stay, and so it got painted…
And shortly after about 5 coats of paint to try and save the wood walls… it came down along with the ceiling….
And that was when I learned to be VERY flexible with the renovating!
Because it is true what everyone tells you, one project quickly turn into another project and another and yep, another.
BUT it all worked out!
I just wasn’t 100% sure it was going to just a few weeks ago when we were at this point.
but boy oohhh boy when dry wall goes up…
I was HAPPY!
And if I thought I was happy at the drywall phase… then I am thrilled now!
I have new walls in a soft grey and a new ceiling AND a light that I adore!
AND a space that I can enjoy and relax in!
And I LOVE that!
and in case you are getting excited to see the rest of our place—- here is another little sneak peek!
I am LOVING the space now that things are really starting to come together!
ps
Are you new here? I would love to connect with you!!!!

Holy cow!! I can’t get over the difference! And I’m so impressed with what y’all have accomplished in a relatively short time (though I bet it seems like forever to you!). The light fixture is POPPING!! Love, love, love.

Fabulous! and I really love that light!!!
this is a great transformation! i remember when you showed the pictures of the “before” stage a while ago and i must say you guys did a fantastic job! there can never be enough light and brightness in my opinion.
You have been crazy busy and it looks fantastic!
Your new house is looking amazing! I am loving all the transformations. Great job.
Loving the soft blue/gray! Do you use it to actually eat in or do you do most of your eating in the awesome dining space I saw in the last pick? Or maybe just out on the deck by the lake?
Jessica
