A Housewarming Gift from the Heart.

Okay guys I have to go ahead and right away admit this is not a housewarming gift idea that I came up with, but rather one that I received.  And to say that I was blown away and so humbled by its meaning is an understatement.  I don’t think I could have possibly understood how much a housewarming gift could mean until my husband and I received one like this.

So completely personal and oh so US.  Our friends know us SO well, and really isn’t that what a gift like this is about?  Meaning and thoughtfulness–proof that the world is good and friendships are worth more than anything.

So how about a tour through this sweet housewarming gift.  Perhaps inspiration for your next gift giving opportunity?!

First of all you have to notice the sweetest hummingbird feeder I have ever seen.  The perfect addition to any new home, because according to some research studies hummingbirds are likely to return to the same feeder each year.  Making this feeder and thought super special since my husband and I will surely be enjoying this home for year and years to come.

The lake themed pillow perfectly sums up how I felt all summer while renovating our house “I am Building Sandcastles in my Dreams” and renovating living spaces while I am awake! I am so glad that we are past our home renovating and onto enjoying life and building sandcastles, but really this pillow will be a good reminder for us, to appreciate where we are now–and how much help our friends were throughout the entire process!

And tucked in right next to the pillow, did you notice the sweet treats included in this beautiful gift crate?  Not treats for us, but doggie treats!  What an amazingly personal and perfect touch, they made this gift just that much more thoughtful because if you know my husband and I then you know that we LOVE our Golden Retrievers!  Our friends happen to be the dog parents of our pups boyfriends {check them out here} and so they defiantly understand that and found a way to incorporate it into our housewarming gift!!!

And incase you were worried that my pups were the only one to get treats, a beautiful bottle of local wine and Wisconsin cheese were also in the gift.  Both are things that my husband and I enjoy sharing with good friends!

Aren’t the fall foliage and wildflowers just a perfect addition to this oh-so-special gift?  I like the idea of adding natural elements to a gift to perfectly match the season.

Oh and I LOVE these vintage looking fish.  What a lake house treasure.  I cannot wait to incorporate them into my decor!

I could not imagine a more perfect or thoughtful gift.  Well, wait I can, friendship, yet that is the best gift of all.  And my husband and I are SO blessed.
