I wasn’t planning on sharing a post today. But I got to thinking, I miss the “real” side of my blog. The part where I am open and honest and talk about my life in little bits. And so I decided to share a couple of pictures of my front and back yard here at the lake. They aren’t from this fall, but rather from this summer, I hope that this will get me motivated to snap a few photos of the fall lake view before it turns into a winter lake view!
First off, lets start out with a picture of my view from the “front” yard {although in a lake house the front is usually considered the lake side…}!
yes, my front yard happens to facing farmland. And you know, I kind of enjoy seeing the seasons of a farm just as much as I enjoy seeing the seasons on the lake! There are still corn stalks up across the road, I keep thinking I should go and see if I can use a couple to decorate my front porch, I wonder what the farmer would think about that?! :)
I am waiting because I know that is just a few days the corn should be all cut and gone and the view will be completely different again.
And although I enjoy the view from my front door, I have to say I like the view from my back door even more.
ahhhh.
I feel relaxed and peaceful just looking at the picture of the lake.
There is just something wonderful about a calm night where the waves are still and the reflection is just perfect.
But no matter what the lake looks like, it is the best backyard view I could ever ask for. And Kylie agrees.
Even if she isn’t outside on the dock, Kylie {my pup} loves to have her nose pressed right up against the glass of our 6 huge picture windows facing the lake… just watching, and making my cleaning list longer. Because do you think she could just stand at one window? No way, she goes and gets slobbery dog nose marks on every single window.

How wonderful to have a beautiful view from both sides! Truly breathtaking.
Love your view and love this post! I think I need to come and enjoy it with you sometime soon.
You definetly have the best of both worlds, country and lake views! Beautiful!!! And I think the lake looks even better through Kylie’s smudgy “nose art” on you windows!
I love “informal and unplanned”!!:) What a place of beauty you live in…thanks for sharing a piece of your life (and heart) with us today.
Beautiful! I miss blogging like that too. I hope you share your Fall view soon.
I envy your views! I love it when you send pictures of and from your house!
I LOVE both your views too
I grew up in farming community and miss it so much and still have hope to return to that life someday. I have never lived by water but that view is beautiful. Just looking at it through photo’s is calming & relaxing so I bet being there is even more so…….
TFS!

These views are gorgeous!! So serene. You would find me sitting with your puppy with my nose pressed up against your windows, enjoying the view.

Wow, both views are gorgeous! You truly hit a gold mine when you bought that house! It reminds me so much of where I live. We have a farm on one side of the street, mountains views to the other and then a lake down the street that we often walk around.
At our second home in Pennsylvania, we have the same views. Woods and farmland on the road side and lake at the “back” of the house, although our lake looks much smaller than yours. Leaves are at peak color and the reflection on the lake is just beautiful. Love being there where it’s peaceful and quiet surrounded by Amish farms. Our “real” home is between DC and Baltimore and there’s NO peace and quiet there!
I am jealous of that view! Ya know what I see when I look out my back door? A soccer field with a porter potty…LOL
That is one gorgeous view!! I love your dock. Is the water a nice temperature for swimming during the summer? I bet the pups like it either way!
Wow Jaime! That is one outstanding view! Esp the back:). I am so glad you shared that with us, you must really enjoy waking up in th morning to that view everyday. We overlook the bay & the barrier island but yours tops that by a mile, just so peaceful. Lucky Kylie:)Have a great weekend!!! Jen
