One last tailgating craft, I promise guys….
I just get going sometimes with this stuff and don’t know how to stop…. but how could I when this time my team spirit bag is just SO practical and perfect for games?!
I mean come on, what does every single tailgate-er needs to have for a good tailgate?! Bags and totes to carry the essential of course!! And, since I love football AND crafting I thought I would bring the two together and personalize a tailgating tote.
The best think about this tote is that it was simple to make and very inexpensive.
Here is what you will need: a canvas tote (I found mine at the dollar store awhile back), paint markers, vinyl wording (optional–if you have good handwriting you may not need this), and your favorite team spirit fabric.
I then traced the Michigan “M” of paper and then cut the letter out in fabric.
and then sewed the outline of the “M” onto the bag.
*I should mention at this point that I am not a huge fan of sewing, but I am just fine with imperfection and so I just did a sloppy-on-purpose kind of job.*
Next I placed my vinyl lettering on my bag.
and used it as a stencil to get my wording using a paint marker.
Nice and simple, while festive and functional. That is my kind of tailgating project!
I am linking up to a few of my favorite parties this week be sure to check them out here!

Precious as usual! What a cute graduation gift this would make for a HS senior headed off to school! Pinning for exactly THAT!

How fun and cute! Did you see the Packers beat the Texans…hehe : )
“Hail to the Victors”~~~~~~”Let’s go Blue”
Oh my goodness! I need this! (just without the “go blue”) haha My last name starts with an M… AND I’m a Mizzou fan! It’s perfect… and it’s yellow so it can be Mizzou-ish too!
Sigh… I’m moving in next door so we can craft together. It’s final.
Hmm… I should make a tailgating bag! Love it!
I love the bag. You did a fabulous job and you can’t go wrong with Chevron!
This is really cute! Love the colors… and perfect gift for Christmas!
