Fall Wreath DIY

Well guys, just like I had promised, I am now in full-blown decorating and crafting mode for fall, and I am loving it–starting with a simple DIY wreath!

This weekend was just perfect fall weather….. which made the crafting and decorating even more fun!  I wish you could all see the beautiful colors of the trees being reflected off of the lake every day… it is heavenly.  And it makes me feel SO thankful, for my new home that I can decorate and enjoy beautiful scenes in!

And so of course my wreath had to incorporate my feelings… of thankfulness.  And a reminder to be thankful as well.

It was such a simple wreath to make–you could TOTALLY make your own.

But really all I used were some scrap fabrics, vintage buttons (for the center of the flowers) a wreath form (that I got for free at a garage sale), alphabet stamps, ink, scissors and a hot glue gun.

I would guess my fall wreath took me about 30 minutes to make and was completely free!

Here is a quick rundown on what you do:

-Cut strips of fabric to cover your wreath form with-glue each end and wrap until fully covered

-Next make the flowers by loosely wrapping strips of fabric using hot glue to secure the fabric in place as you wrap the twisted fabric around itself.

-Cut fabric for mini bunting (fabric for letters) and stamp with alphabet stamps and ink.

And I want to say that I am so thankful for the beautiful season and that YOU are here and visiting and part of my seasons.

ps I am linking up to a few of my favorite link parties this week–be sure to check them out for some great inspiration!
