Well it is official, you are seeing the final part of my summer time renovations! And seeing how we are well into fall, well, I think it is about time!
I have to say, the living room has quickly become my favorite space in my newly renovated house. It overlooks the water perfectly, so that if you are all comfy on the couch, you can see an amazing panoramic view of the water from ever angle of the space and I love that.
I love how open and airy the space is.
And to say I adore all of the windows overlooking the water, well, that may not even cover it…. I LOVE the view.
But to truly appreciate my space, you have to see what the room looked like only a few short months ago when my husband and I moved in!
Ohhh yes, we had wood walls and a cramped space that didn’t even allow for couches to look out at the lake!
I am SO thankful that my husband and I could see past the space as it was, and picture what it could be.
Because I love the space now.
it is SO open and anything but dark!
It is truly a place that I love to be.
So I know you saw the dark and small inside space… and you may wonder where the windowed wall came from.
Well, it was there the whole time, it just happened to be a part of the 3 seasons porch before my husband and I came along.
My husband and I literally started taking down walls the day we signed our paper work and became official home owners.
There were many many days and nights where I felt like we had made a huge mistake and had taken on too much. But on days like the one above when the walls finally all came down and you could see the windows that we would someday get to enjoy, well it gave us hope!

Love it so much. I just can’t get over how great a makeover this is! Every magazine out there should be beating a path to your door to feature this!
That space is SO amazing! I can’t believe the transformation!! I mean the room is gorgeous on it’s own, but when you see where it came from – nothing short of astounding! Great job!
Absolutely gorgeous! I love the pop of color on the stairs! You have a beautiful lake house.
Girl you are awesome! Your house belongs in a magazine ; ) I love it!! I can’t believe the before pictures… and especially the ones where you tore everything out, lol! Looks like all the hard work paid off though!
Your living room is gorgeous now. You are blessed to have such amazing vision and the ability to carry it out. It looks so incredibly spectacular. Awesome job!!! I’m sure it wasn’t easy.

Jaime….. love it. I heard music during the reveal. Like something when graduates come marching in with cap and gown. Probably because I think it’s beautiful and you are surely full of pride!

I do not understand why you would put a big ugly t.v. in front of such a gorgeous bank of windows and view.
Every inch of it is so beautiful now. I’m so glad that your hopes and visions have turned into reality. I’m so happy for you.
Thanks so much for linking to Make The Scene Monday at Alderberry Hill, you are being featured later today!
That is just about the most amazing thing! How I’d love to sit on those beautiful couches and look out over the water! Good for you. We’re just winding up an enormous renovation here, too! Tough to go thru, but so worth it in the end.

I have RSI from scrolling back and forth between the ‘then and now’ pictures. I did not know it was humaily possible to have that much unpainted timber in one room!! Your living room looks amazing, so open, bright and inviting. I love all the windows and pretty envious re the view…love the starfish cushion and the rug.
Oh my goodness I love love love the living room. I like how open it is now and the neutral colors. Fantastic job, Jamie!!
