DIY Glitter Candle

Just a simple tutorial and DIY today.  An idea that is so simple that I debated sharing it.  But then again, sometimes simple is the best.  And this has been a two second project that I have really been enjoying… so you might also!

Just a simple way to dress up your candles that you have around the house.  I did it with the holidays in mind, but then realized that glitter makes me so happy that it will have to stay out all of the time!  I had the idea of dressing up my candles in glass because of the couple that I had done this past Halloween that I really still love {that you can check out here}.

I used my favorite Bath and Body Works candle this time…  this one is toasted marshmallow…  and I LOVE it.

And I think it looks so much prettier covered in glitter than it did covered in a label!

 And seriously, this is the most simple thing to do ever.  All I did was peel off the label, and clean the glass well.  Then I covered the glass with mod podge and sprinkled the area with glitter.  The glitter I happened to use is a bit thicker and is the Martha Stewart brand that I picked up from Michaels a while back.

It just adds a little something to my space and looks great when it is actually burning as well!

I am so hoping that you are having a restful and relaxing week heading into the holiday this next weekend.  I know I will be lighting a candle or two sitting down with a mug of hot coco and thinking a lot about what this season is all about.
