Now I know, it may not have been the smartest think I have ever done, to take week 12 photos in a black sequin shirt and then week 13 in a white sweater… I mean come on, every woman knows you are going to look bigger in white…
- How far along?: 12 weeks exactly!
- Baby is the size of a: a peach
- Total weight gain/loss: -3
- The Bump: You get to decide on this one!!!
- Symptoms: I am one SLEEPY gal!
- Food Cravings: Fruits fruits fruits!
- Anything Making Me Queasy or Sick: Nope, although I must admit the smell of coffee really grosses me out! {so so strange since I am normally addicted to coffee}
- Sleep: Not to bad, but a new thing, I LOVE pillows all around me. My new body pillow is pretty much the best thing ever! Oh and I do have to wake up in the middle of the night, every night to go to the bathroom — something I am NOT used to!
- What I miss: Okay, I have to be honest, I have missed enjoying a wine now and then especially with the holidays being just a few weekends ago! My dad is a pretty amazing bartender!
- Weddings Rings On or Off: On, is this really an issue??? Boo, I am not looking forward to not wearing my ring!
- Any Names Picked Out Yet: Nope, I have a feeling this one might be hard for us, Caleb and I can’t agree on anything!
- Gender Prediction: I’ve been thinking girl since the beginning, but I think that’s only because I am secretly wishing for a little gal to play dolls with. And, pretty much every family member that we have told that we are expecting calls the baby a SHE. I have so many reasons why I want either, so with the first, I’ll be happy with a boy or a girl! I do have to admit at our 12 week ultrasound we tried to cheat and get a look … darn Bean was being modest and had the area covered up with the umbilical cord. BEAN, Mommy wants to start SHOPPING!!!
- Movement: Not yet.
- Maternity Clothes: Nope, not yet. Although my sister did buy me a belly band against my wishes and stuck it in with my Christmas gifts. Andddd I have to admit, I kind of like the idea because I have admittedly been rocking the a hair tie to close my dress pants for work.
- Labor Signs: None.
- Best Moment of the Week: Opening my Christmas gifts from my sister this past week (it arrived after Christmas), and everything happened to be for our Little Bean! It is fun getting excited that we have made it through the first 13 weeks! 6 more months Little Bean 6 more months!
- What I’m excited about/looking forward to: Feeling the baby move around in there! And maybe, I might really regret saying this, but looking a little more pregnant and a little less like I just ate a lot at my last meal.
Once again before I end this post, this week has been such a wonderful treat for me. Sharing my news with each of you and getting such wonderful comments and responses has made me more happy then any of you will ever know. I feel SO blessed to be in a wonderful blogging community with such amazing women. Hugs to each and every one of you.

Aw, you’re going to be the cutest little pregnant chicka!! I say no bump at 12 weeks, but for sure one at 13 weeks! Thanks for sharing!
xo Heidi
I have to say that I went on this exact journey 11 years ago with my daughter – she was due the end of July by arrived early in July instead (her Gram wanted a July 4th baby but she wanted her own special day). Congrats to you & your husband.
You look so cute!! I maybe see a little bump there, but not too much!! Looking forward to following your pregnancy & watching your bump grow!
I’m a newbie on your blog, and I’m having such a great time reading through all of your posts on your house renovations and your wonderful baby news!!! Congratulations, and thanks for letting us share in all the excitement!
Shannon
Oh, and you definitely have a bump, and it’s adorable!
You look so cute and don’t worry the bump and then some will definitely be there before long! Again congratulations and look forward to following your journey!!
SWEET SWEET JAIME! I love you my dear and you are so beautiful!! I love the next post too with your’s and Cal’s funny faces! I’m cracking up!!
I wish you the best of everything!! You guys deserve it!!
Yep! by week 13, it’s official! You are so cute! I am really petite – 4’11″, and I had to wear maternity clothes at 3 mos
It was sad… but you are adorable. I’m so happy happy for you my friend!
Very cute pictures and updates! I have to agree, I think there is a very tiny 13 week bump starting to grow! So very EXCITING!!!
oh what fun it will be to following your pregnancy adventure. You are a beautiful 13 week pregnant mama!! best of luck as your journey continues for another 26 weeks!
Stinkin’ adorable is what you look like!
I remember those weeks…you look great!
You are so cute, I can’t stand it!!!! Love those goofy photos. We really do need to meet up one day, I think we would have fun getting our goofy on . Anyhow, if i ran into you at Target, I would not realize you are pregnant.
I am so excited for you! I can tell you have already fallen in love with the little BEAN!!
Oh my goodness you’re so stinking cute! Wish I lived closer so we could roll up our sleeves and do some hard-core decorating to give that baby the bestest nursery EVAH! Who am I kidding… You’re totes capable and will totally rock it.
Jaime Lyn! You are glowing!!! Some women get, while some women don’t. You have it and you look stunning! I would say barely a bump at 12 weeks, looks more like a tad bloated. The bump is starting to show its face at 13 weeks just a wee bit more. Either way, you look fantastic! AND I hope you continue to blog about your pregnancy experience and show us pictures of how the BEAN is growing.
So so happy for you, Caleb and the BEAN! Congratulations!!! xoxo
Some really great photos Jamie!! You’ll be glad you took them in years to come
AWWWWWWWWWW…… I can’t even tell you how cute you are ! just wanna run over and HUG you for days and that little tini wini barely there belly….:) It’s coming though….ENJOY ….love ya ! xo
AHH! Bump! And a C-U-T-E one at that! I am so excited for you!!!
You look so cute!!!And yes you do, so exciting! Jen
Bump? Yes.
You will learn to love your belly band (at least I did). I would recommend wearing your wedding rings until they are a bit snug and them taking them off for the rest of your pregnancy. I pushed it a little too far and when I wanted to take them off, I couldn’t! In fact, my daughter is 5 months old and I still haven’t been able to take them off. Anyway, Congratulations!
Yes, it’s a true baby bump! I remember feeling the same way as you – wanting to get more of that pregnant look instead of the “I’ve been eating too much ice cream” look! In fact, sometimes I really miss those elastic waist maternity pants – sooo comfy!
Jaime – I’ve gotten very behind in my blog reading – just read this and enjoyed every single word! You certainly don’t have to stay silent about all things baby – this is gonna be so much fun!
And I hear you on wanting to look pregnant – I felt that way too – it’s just fun when you look pregnant! And get used to getting up in the night – you are gonna be doing it for a looooong time now Momma!!
In my younger years (of which I have increasingly more and more … TIME, SERIOUSLY, CUT IT OUT) I often dreamed of spending New Year’s Eve in Times Square. I’d be huddled alongside the masses, and it would be cold and clear and wonderful. The ball would drop, the crowd would cheer, and I’d have someone to kiss.
Awwww! I loved reading this and looking at your darling pics… you are just too cute! I am getting so dang excited for SNAP now. Your bump will be be showing a little more then, don’t worry
You are going to be such a wonderful mom. SO happy for you Jaime!!
Holy Congratulations!!! I totally missed this, am so excited for you!! What a fun year you have ahead!!
