Won’t you join me—–
I am starting a new journey.
May 10th, 2012 my husband and I will be closing on our FIRST house.
We have spent the last 8 and 1/2 years of our lives in school and working hard to establish great careers so that we would be able to have this opportunity.
Our new house is going to take a lot of work to get it looking and feeling like home…. but it is worth it to us because—-
it sits on 92 feet of heaven….
our new place is a lake house and had 92 beautiful feet of lake frontage that is all ours….
there are many many fun projects to come, I can hardly wait to get started and I can’t wait to share our progress!!!!
Along the way, this will be the quote that I will keep coming back to, to remind me that I WANTED to fix a place up and make it just right…..
I wanted to make our new place beautiful.
And just so you can understand where we are starting—here are two posts with “before” photos
And on to the renovations and reveals!
We have been working hard!!! We have officially renovated some of the first floor and are going to continue on this winter! Here is some of the progress we have made so far!
Our dining room is the latest room reveal, and this room was a HUGE projects but I am REALLY glad it is finished and that we are now able to enjoy the space!
I had the chance to do a DIY Stenciled wall which was a smaller project, yet so fun! And I really think it perfectly defines my style!!!
Up-cycled Brick Wall, was a wood burning stove but is now was cute white washed brick wall! I think it now adds character to our space!!
Office Space Fix Up, this office used to be horrible! But now it is a fresh and open space that I love!
Our eat-in kitchen, is simple but a good place to sit and grab a quick meal!
Can you believe there used to be wood walls in this space prior to our renovations?!
This is our in between space where we can eat casually and enjoy the lake view, the before pictures are crazy! This space looks completely different now!!
You will not even believe what our living room looked like, check out the before pictures here!
And last but not least, our Guest Bedroom is looking SO much better without the layers of wall paper that used to be on the walls!!!
and this is my backyard and the reason that my husband and I are working so hard to fix up our new place!!! We get to enjoy this view every single day!
That is it SO FAR! I would love for you to follow along as we keep going with our renovations and home progressions!!
